au feux les pompiers... ou pas... / there's fire firefighters...or not

10.45pm... am in dreamland when a very disturbing noise wakes me up...fire alarm... great... what now? Chacha and Vince who are staying here until they leave knocked on my door and ask if it's usual... uh nope ! what should we do ? we snif around but it doesn't seem to be comng from here. Alright, we open the front door... nothing is happening in the hall... Totally unexpected we wait and see if they say anything in the microphones...nope. Maybe we should check with the neighboors see if it's also happening in their appartment. We open the door again and some people start to show up, half dressed, obvisouly as surprised. Alright I put on a pair of jeans, take my wallet and my ipod (like that would help in case of fire...) and we decide to make our way down.

Chacha calls the elevator... let's say it's the confusion... we start our journey down the 29 floors... these are freaking long stairs my friends !!!! especially when you are wearing sleepers and no socks and are fighting with every step in order not to finish smashed against the opposite wall ! lol

We finally make it downstairs where the firemen are already there (good job guys!) but not doing much. Everyone is in the hall and outside. The firemen are asking questions and "playing" with a pannel control.

We wait outside for half an hour, in our PJs and half asleep. Kids are there too. The firemen offer them plastic firefighter helmet. A woman took her suitcase with her... but most of the people probably didn't bother leaving their place because there aren't so many people for such a huge building.

Anyway, we finally are released and can make it back up here with the elevators ... thank gosh !lol They finally use the speakers to let us know that it was just a false alarm and that there is nothing to worry about... I guess an idiot found it fun to ring the alarm...

11.50 : back in dreamland
